The Liturgy Committee

The group meets about six times annually or when liturgies require a meeting. Membership of the Liturgy Committee is conferred by appointment by the Parish Priest for a period of three years. One member of the group should be elected by simple majority vote to act as Chairman. The Chairman is elected every three years.

Duties

The planning of liturgical activities (selection of music, writing the prayers of intercession, the orchestration of all the other variables that make up a liturgy) is delegated to groups or individual members. The committee also evaluates liturgies which have taken place and makes note of any recommendations. It is responsible for parish formation in liturgical matters and the training of members of the congregation for the various ministries involved with the liturgy.
