Sidespeople

Sidesmen and women are responsible for what in theatres is known as ‘front of house’. They greet the congregation as they enter the churches for Sunday Mass, they hand out the Sunday Message and hymn books and collect hymn books at the end of Mass, they arrange for and conduct the two collections and they marshal the Communion queues.
