On Thursday 4th of June some 40 parishioners met for a Parish Gathering in the Church Hall following a 7pm Mass. This was a pleasant social event despite a somewhat disappointing turnout. Terry O’Connor (pictured below) gave a brief summary of the PPC Core Group’s final report which was favourably received.
The opportunity was taken at the meeting to explain the method ofappointing PPC members: the importance of parishioners proposing candidates for the new council being stressed strongly. The Core Group has also recommended that the Parish holds more Gatherings in the future as part of improving Parish communications – but better attendance is needed!
